For over sixty year Jimmy Cobb’s drumming has supported many legendary Jazz musicians and singers. These days he is considered to be a legend himself and he still leads his own band, they have just released a new album. Jazz In The Key Of Blue.
Jimmy started his musical career by playing with some of the early legends of jazz, people like the great Earl Bostic with whom he did first recording. Following that stint he worked with Dinah Washington, Pearl Bailey, Dizzy Gillespie, Cannonball Adderley and Billie Holiday all before joining Miles Davis in 1957.

Two years after joining Miles, they went into the studio and came out with a masterpiece. An album that is still the best selling Jazz album fifty years later, the incredible Kind Of Blue.
